Too embarrassed to show you guys the Dolphin i modeled in MAYA this week. It looked like a zombie shark whale dolphin. Sounds cool but it wasn’t supposed to look unrealistic, and mine did. Sooooo, i will show you this from my perspective class. I like it but it really stands out like a turd in a punch bowl next to the work from the kids who have been doing this for a while.

I was just teaching my students perspective two weeks ago. They liked it about as much as math class. “It’s too harrrrd!” >:|
I think this is awesome. It’s a very elegant drawing.. so crisp and clean!
Does your perspective class include students from other disciplines, or is it an animation student-only class?
Dude, it is so fucking hard. This class is actually called Drawing from the Imagination. Which basically means that you build a grid and construct from it entirely from your head, with some reference if you want, but most people don’t. And no, it’s not just for animation students. Technically its for the illustration majors, but they recommend it for animators. Most people waive the class out because it’s so hard, but I really wanted to take it because of the work i saw come out of there in previous semesters
I RESPECT YOUR DECISION.
I mean, I know it might be simple and clean because you don’t have the experience with the program yet to make it complicated and dirty, but I DO like how simple it is.
It reminds of that game mirror’s edge.
